The crucifixion of Jesus was a part of God's plan from the very beginning of the birth of Jesus. The death of Jesus on the cross is the central message and summary of the saving Gospel.

The crucifixion of Jesus is recorded in the New Testament books, known as the Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The Crucified Jesus is a 20th century classic that has finally been made available in the English language.

The author died in /5(18). The Crucifixion of Jesus is the cornerstone of the Christian faith. All of Scripture leads up to this pinnacle moment in the history of humanity.

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, gave His life in order to defeat the deadly consequences of sin once and for all. From this verse we learn that the Romans crucified Jesus. In fact, crucifixion was a Roman way of punishing a criminal. In the eyes of the Romans, Jesus was a criminal.

The best books on Jesus recommended by Robert Morgan. Jesus was a 1st century Jew from Galilee who had a ministry of teaching and healing. He gathered disciples around him, but was eventually arrested and executed by the Roman governor of Judaea from 26 to 36CE, Pontius Pilate.

Having reversed his earlier judgment that Jesus was innocent, Pilate now released Barabbas, scourged Jesus, and delivered Him to be crucified.

Jesus Mocked and Scourged, According to Matthew and Mark, Jesus was taken by the soldiers into the common hall, the praetorium, which was thronged with Roman soldiers.

According to the canonical gospels, Jesus was arrested and tried by the Sanhedrin, and then sentenced by Pontius Pilate to be scourged, and finally crucified by the Romans.
